The Contoocook Covered Bridge Restaurant is hiring more servers. If you're qualified, we hope you'll join us!
This restaurant is famous for serving the area's best food, at low prices, with a beautiful romantic view of the river, covered bridge, and dam.
This is a fun place. The staff is super-friendly with customers and each other. We're like a family and often hang around in the bar even after our shift is over, though you don't have to do that.
We could use a full-time server, but part-time is also okay. Up to you!
We're closed Mondays. We're open all other days.
We're famous mainly for our wonderful dinners. We also serve lunches. We don't serve breakfasts.
We have a dining room and also a full bar.
Customers come at 11:30AM. The kitchen usually closes at 9PM, but 8PM on Sundays. The bar stays open about an hour afterwards. Some servers come before or after those hours, to help set up or clean up. You can work any part of those hours that you wish, as available.
It's extremely helpful if you've had at least a year of experience as a restaurant server before, but we're also willing to consider newcomers who have the ability to learn quickly.
You'll start as a trainee ($7.25 per hour but just briefly, just your first 4 shifts or fewer) then become a server ($4.50 per hour plus lots of tips, so your total pay will probably average between $13 and $25 per hour, depending on how busy the restaurant is at those moments and how much your customers like you). Another possibility is to become a host or busser; those positions have a higher base pay but fewer tips. Graduation to a management position is possible, depending on your abilities.
