MACHINE OPERATORS- Sign-On Bonus!
Ever Better Eating, Inc., is a New Hampshire company known for its premier hand-made flatbreads and hand formed pizza crusts. Our brands are popular in retail stores coast-to-coast. You may recognize our pizzas in local grocery stores as Rustic Crust and American Flatbread.
We are seeking a knowledgeable, motivated Machine Operator to join our growing team to keep our lines up and running! 1st / 2nd shift, with some weekends available.
If you have experience working on and with production machines in a manufacturing environment, enjoy a fast-paced environment and want to put your savvy mechanical and machine operation skills to work, this may be the perfect job for you.
Essential Functions/Duties:
Responsible for the efficient operation and set-up of various machines- including packaging machines
Specific equipment of interest: horizontal carton machines, flow wrapping equipment, case packing, coding equipment, vacuum pack machinery.
Trouble-shoot and problem solve day to day situations as they arise
Ensure that machines are set correctly to run in accordance with written procedures
Diagnose and identify mechanical issues, correct line speeds as necessary to ensure optimal output
Perform change overs in an efficient and timely manner
Change rolls of film
Ensure required materials are available
Follow GMP's
Maintain a clean and safe work space and environment
Ensure safety rules, policies and procedures are followed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED
Experience operating machines in a production environment, food industry a plus
Team-oriented
Good mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of electric systems and equipment
Must be able to read and write English
Ability to read, interpret, understand machine operation manuals and operating procedures
Excellent ability to problem solve mechanical problems daily
Basic mathematical skills
Work Environment:
Walking and working around moving equipment
Noisy environment
Work on moving production line and machinery
Temperature variations, high heat near ovens and cold in cooler or freezer
Physical Demands:
Walking, Standing for long periods of time on a shift (up to 10 hours)
Bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, pushing , pulling, climbing
Lifting weight between 1-50 lbs., 50-100 lbs., with 2-person assist
$150.00 signing bonus available after completing 30 days of work and opportunity for daily and weekly bonuses available for Attendance and Productivity.
