We are seeking senior level CNC Machinists to join our team at Hurley Precision Machining!

We are offering Sign-On Bonuses of up to $2K after 6 months employment

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program and operate 3,4 and 5 axis machining centers and all activities associated with the manufacturing of finished and semi-finished machined parts using automated and manual equipment processes to meet the customer specifications. High proficiency in general machine shop practices including selection and use of cutting tools and holders, selection and creation of fixtures, feeds and speeds, machine maintenance, etc. Independently complete complex set-ups and fabrication of small lot machined parts on CNC milling machines, including indicating, producing and aligning fixtures, and loading of materials.

Ability to assess speeds and feeds, and make adjustments as necessary to optimize run-time.

Maintain production at or above the standard rates, defined by standard programmed run-times.

Track and review tool wear, changing or replacing tools as needed.

Accurately measure, inspect, and record physical measurements using coordinate measuring machines (CMM's), dial gauges, indicators, thread gauges, and other tools as needed. Record results accurately and neatly.

Perform post finishing activities, including polishing, deburring, chamfering, etc. Maintain a clean and neat, well-organized work area on an ongoing basis.

Complete tasks and projects as assigned by management.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

CNC Competencies, with strong Master-Cam knowledge and G&M codes.

Precision and strong attention to detail.

Able to work independently and as part of a team, with limited supervision.

Strong verbal and written skills.

Ability to train and mentor.

Must be able to safely and accurately operate equipment, follow all rules and established processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma and on-the-job training or an apprenticeship, certificate and associate's Degree Preferred.

Experience with vertical CNC Mills (Mazak experience preferred); CNC Lathe (Okuma) a plus.

Minimum of 10 years' experience or equivalent training on CNC mills, with minimum of 5 years' experience independently performing set-ups.

Experience machining product sold into a regulated industry strongly preferred.

GDandT training/certificate a plus.

This a non-exempt position with normal Day Shift hours being 7:30 AM-4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. There are often opportunities for overtime on Saturdays.

Hourly range of $30 to $40 P/H or salary of $65,000 to $90,000, depending on skill level.
