Vacancy expired!
While the work must be done on-site here in my Salem, NH office, this part-time role could be perfect for a stay-at-home parent, though all candidates will be considered. This is a tax season role that would end April 15th and it would be great to find someone who could return each tax season. In addition, I operate another business outside tax season, leaving the possibility for year-round work or if a stay-at-home parent, having the summers off and working early September through the end of the school year in June.
CPA in Salem, NH seeks part-time assistance entering tax forms such as W-2's, 1099's, 1098 (mortgage interest & real estate taxes), 1099-INT (interest income), 1099-DIV (dividend income), 1099-B (stock sales) and several other standard tax forms provided by clients. If the hired candidate is available to come back each tax season going forward, there is room to grow and learn/take on more than the basics. If you come back for a 2nd tax season and plan to return on an ongoing basis each year, you will also begin attending an in-person 2-day tax seminar with me each year, in the October/November timeframe. Should the person wish to grow further, after a few tax seasons, they can sit with clients that have the simplest of returns, to gather their tax documents, ask them basic/standard questions and see those same clients year after year. If this is the case, I can take on more clients and there is room to work greater than 20 hours per week during tax season. Note that these are options and not a requirement. Should the right candidate return year after year but want to stick with entering tax forms, they would move onto some more complex things like entering rental properties and small sole-proprietor business income and expenses but there will not be a requirement to sit with the simpler clients if that's not of interest to you.
Proper training will be provided. The only experience required is solid data entry skills, including the number keys to the right side of the letters on the keyboard (which can be learned with practice), attention to detail and accuracy.
This position will start as soon as the right candidate is available and end on April 15, 2019.
The hours will be approximately 15-18 hours per week during February and increase to 18 - 20 (max would be around 22 hours some weeks) hours from March 1 through April 15th. While an evening or two is possible, a couple day shifts during the week are required and it would be great if the candidate could come in on Saturday or Sunday, even if just for 3-4 hours one of those days. We can discuss scheduling but please know that it's not possible to work evenings and/or weekends only - if you have a full-time job, M-F during normal business hours, this role will not be possible.
Please attach a copy of your resume and in the body of your email, please include the hourly rate your seek and/or your compensation at your previous 2-3 employers. Also, please know that the candidate receiving the offer will ultimately need to provide references from 2 recent employers prior to beginning work.
