The AGNE Loss Prevention team is currently looking for a part-time Security Officer to work at our Pembroke Distribution Center opening shift each Friday morning from 3am-11am OR Thursday from 6-10 pm & Friday from 6pm to 12am. This shift requires a motivated, independent individual who can multi-task at various duties – including monitoring CCTV systems, access control, gating inbound trucks in and out of the facility, responding to emergencies and other critical security functions. Must work with high ethical standards, under strict confidentiality. The successful applicant will be trained and issued the necessary uniform and equipment. • Ensure compliance with Loss Prevention policies and procedures;

• Contribute to shrink/risk identification and reduction;

• Be familiar with facility Loss Prevention/Asset Protection;

• Responsible for logging in and badging inbound freight deliveries, and assisting with keeping dock, door flow and yard traffic moving;

• Responsible for monitoring AMAG activity and access control - reporting issues and violations;

• Responsible for monitoring CCTV and observing for policy violations, unsafe acts and conducting routine and directed observations via CCTV;

• Maintain, keep organized and properly disseminate logs, reports and other paperwork required for the position;

• Maintain a professional looking and functioning work area and equipment – including the Guard Booth and Security vehicle;

• Maintain a professional, good working relationship with management, staff and other associates and contractors on site;

• Operate security vehicle in a safe manner in various weather conditions;

• Answer telephones and direct calls to the proper person or department for resolution;

• Monitor, and communicate clearly and professionally on portable radios;

• Respond to emergency situations in a calm, professional manner;

• Conduct various compliance and operational audits as directed;

• Conduct interior and exterior tours of the facility as proscribed, on foot or in a vehicle;

• Monitor fuel deliveries;

• Log in contractors, assign work crew badges, and conduct Point of Sale checks at the booth;

• Report on daily temporary badge issuance and use;

• Conduct weekly access control changes as required, as well as at other times when directed or needed;


• High school diploma or equivalent;

• Must have a valid driver license;

• Ability to pass AGNE pre-employment process;

• Good communication (oral and written);

• Good interpersonal skills;

• Ability to effectively interact with diverse group of personalities;

• Ability to maintain constant awareness of surroundings;

• Presents a professional demeanor at all times;

• Possess good organization skills;

• Basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e.Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook);

• Ability to learn and use other programs and computer software utilized by Loss Prevention – such as AMAG ®, CCTV monitoring systems,, PowerVue®, RDS (Dock Scheduler), and others;


• Security or Loss Prevention-related certification(s) – such as CPO, LPC, LPQ, CPP, PSP, PCI, etc.;

• Prior security, LP or asset protection experience;


• Ability to stand 8-10 hours a day;

• Ability to work varied shifts and hours;

• Ability to walk extended distances including stairs, on multiple surfaces;

• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions;

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures;

• Ability to sit or remain in a vehicle or an areas for extended periods of time;

• Lift, place, remove and store traffic cones and pylons as needed to help control traffic around the Guard Booth.
