All accidents and near-misses are reported to the sitework superintendent. Employees are required to ask for assistance with any task that they are unfamiliar with. Also, employees are required to inspect and safely use all tools pertaining to the job. Proper prior planning prevents poor performance.

Experience – We are looking for an individual with 2-4 years heavy equipment operating sitework experience who is willing to achieve production goals set forth by the foreman. Experience in water, sewer, drainage and electrical pipe installation, trench box installation fine grading and spreading of finish materials, loading and unloading trucks, is required. Quality communication skills are required.

Hours – Employees are expected be prepared for the start of the day on time, every day. We work a flexible 5-day 40-hour week(+/-), subject to change due to work load, weather and job conditions. We try to not work on weekends. The job will entail working in various outdoor weather conditions.

Tasks – Heavy Equipment Operators are required to:

Take your safety and others safety seriously

Have experience in excavator, dozer and loader operations

Load and unload supplies and equipment

Install pipe and structures

Read grades

Spread materials

Properly set trench boxes, structures, etc.

Communicate with ground crew via hand signals

Assist with minor equipment maintenance and cleaning

Direct equipment and trucks on site

Lift, pull, push heavy objects

Complete any and all tasks assigned by the foreman in a safe and timely manner

Requirements – Employees must:

Pass all appropriate scheduled and random drug tests required by the employer

Have reliable transportation to and from the assigned job site

Have a reliable cell phone

Be willing to ask for help if unsure of tasks, tools, and equipment.
