WHO WE ARE: We are a small interior and exterior painting business located in the Seacoast Area: Epping, Exeter, Hamptons, Portsmouth and Southern Maine Area looking for independent contractors who have some interior or exterior painting experience. This is an independent contractor position you can work in the day, evening or on the weekends. You need your own tools and some basic painting skills and an eye for good quality work. You can work with us or work alone-its your choice. You can work at your own pace but you must have the following:
NO SERIOUS CRIMINAL BACKGROUND
VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
YOUR OWN TOOLS (BRUSHES)
ABILITY TO PAINT WELL
BASIC TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS I.E. show up on time keep track of your work
Compensation is commensurate with skill level, experience and quality of finished productl. YOU: Male or Female who is interested in painting alongside a crew and someone who is comfortable working on ladders part of the day and enjoys working outside in the good weather. College Students welcomed! EXPERIENCE: You should have some painting experience either interior or exterior; or, have worked as a contractor / subcontractor or handyman preparing surfaces for painting such as: power washing, sanding, joint compound or caulking. TOOLS: As an independent contractor you should have your own tools, brushes, putty knives, scrapers otherwise we supply all the other materials for the job setting. If your tools are not available to you for some reason, we can assist you with tools temporarily. PAYMENT: As an independent contractor you are in control of our own work and you will be paid upon the completion of a set job usually 1-3 days work. As an independent contractor you are free to work for anyone else. Independent contractor work is paying approximately $12.00 to $20.00 an hour depending upon the quality of the finished product.
As an independent contractor you will need to fill out a W-9 form and so that you will receive from us a 1099 at the end of the year.
TYPE OF WORK: prepping surfaces for painting ie. Removing face plates, hardware, Cleaning with household cleaners, sanding, applying joint compound, caulking, painting ceilings, painting doors, painting walls & trim, clean-up , painting exteriors of homes.
You will not be required to handle any lead paint or work with any compounds or substances that require any special training, protective clothing or regulations. All or our work is painting with latex and oil paint.
