The Web Designer is responsible for developing intuitive, effective web solutions based on approved user stories and wireframe flows that facilitate user-centered solutions suited to creating responsive, simple, and intuitive digital experience across all applicable devices and form factors. The Web Designer/front-end developer synthesizes and uses that information to plan, design, evaluate, develop, test, edit, and maintain optimal digital experience. The Web Designer/front-end developer supports team operations by developing front-end (client side) code for both external and internal websites for application development.RequiredHigh School diploma or equivalent. 3+ years’ experience with HTML development and troubleshooting. Experience in visual design, user interface, and front-end best practices. Strong knowledge of hand coding HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery. Experience on Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to develop, implement and measure the success of web activities and online user experience across frameworks. This position will have a strong focus on:
Visual Design best practices (typography, grid systems, color theory)
HML prototyping production to deliver development–ready files
CSS best practices
JavaScript best practices a plus
User Experience Journey Mapping validation
SEO page structure
Broad knowledge of website design and development implementation. Experience working with Agile/SCRUM project methodology. Comfortable working in a collaborative team with shared roles and responsibilities a must. Ability to work effectively across multiple functional groups.PreferredBA/BS in Digital Communications or Computer Science. Experience publishing code via Eclipse, Jenkins and GitHub a plus.
