Job Description

Fire Technician will prepare, clean-up, and assist with flammability testing.

• Set-up and overhaul of fire testing.
• Construction of new test equipment.
• Modification and maintenance of current equipment.
• Assist in testing of products under supervision.
• Applicants must be NYS certified interior firefighters.
• Job duties include working in smoky environments with respirators.
• Heavy lifting of furniture is required for certain tests.
• Evening and weekend work often required.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2 year College degree
• Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Comfortable using power tools.
• Good with problem solving.
• Mechanically inclined.
