Principal – Member Technical StaffSoftware Quality AssuranceLeads the Advanced Technical Support (ATS) Software Quality Assurance (SQA) function, responsible for defining, developing, implementing, tracking and reporting progress on key vendor Software Quality and Cycle Time Measurements / Scorecard and Software Process Improvement activities.Job Functions include:Define, calculate, measure, gather, collate, track and present Software Quality Data results on a regular monthly/quarterly basis . Develop and update presentations and reports for Technical Quality Reviews with vendors and Senior Leadership, team scorecards, Software project alignment meetings, and Software installation status.Review and present Software Quality trend data to vendors, technical teams and Senior Leadership. Recognize negative trends and improvement opportunities in the data and work with ATS, Vendor Suppliers and other key CTO Labs, Engineering and Operations stakeholders to develop and implement process improvement plans.Develop, test, and maintain software metrics documents as needed. Represent AT&T in the Telecommunication Industry Association (TL 9000) standards body to drive software standards efforts. Champion the introduction of new industry standards and updates to existing standards.Skills needed:Understanding of statistics and ability to present technical software quality and cycle time data to illustrate trends.Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to create and deliver presentations to a variety of audiences including Technical Experts, Vendor Suppliers and Executive Management.Working knowledge of Software Development Processes, particularly Agile, CI/CD and Computer Architectural Models including Cloud Computing, Virtual Network Functions, Network Element Pools and redundant systems.Working knowledge of wireless telecommunications architecture, systems, and services.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
