As part of Enterprise Architecture, the Digital Commerce Technical Architect creates and communicates the detailed technology architecture and implementation strategy for omni-channel B2C and B2B commerce solutions.

In this role, you act as

an integrated member of global and regional teams to collaborate on architecting innovative customer journeys and end-to-end solutions that

unify the digital and physical.
You lead and collaborate to

deliver business outcomes
  • Serve as a "trusted advisor" on digital commerce architecture, strategy, and innovation
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge and expertise to build connected, personalized consumer experiences and streamline buying decisions and the customer journey - at speed and at scale
  • Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader who partners seamlessly with business and product teams globally to drive technology decisions
You provide Architecture leadership and oversight for

core-commerce business capabilities
  • Digital Sales Channels (e.g. Ecommerce, Social, Mobile) and commerce engines
  • Digital Operations (e.g. Search, Content, CDN, A/B Testing, Ratings, etc.)
You link the Architecture by collaborating with architects of

commerce-enabling business capabilities
  • Cross-Channel (e.g. Order Management, Customer Service, Loyalty, Personalization, Payments)
  • Master Data/Content (e.g. Consumer, Product, Workforce, Digital Asset Management)
  • Merchandising (e.g. Product Information Management, Pricing, Promotions)
  • Marketing (e.g. Campaign, Affiliate, Email/Digital)

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities of the Job:

Plan the Digital Commerce architecture to derive target and transition state architecture
  • Lead discovery and develop/maintain technical architecture deliverables for the digital commerce landscape globally in partnership with regional stakeholders
  • Develop and evolve the end-to-end capability landscape depicting current and target solutions
  • Develop and evolve the architecture roadmap and integrate with project/product roadmaps
  • Develop and maintain data flow and reference architectures for core solutions globally
  • Develop and maintain architecture proposals for emerging technology & innovation value cases
Enable projects and programs through

agile solution architecture
  • Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation
  • Participate in designing business architecture associated with technical/solution architecture
  • Develop high-level architecture requirements and current/transition/target architectures
  • Collaborate with design/engineering to transform user stories into implementable components
  • Interface project leads/managers to conduct project risk identification and mitigation planning
  • Lead solution review process to ensure all solutions are thoroughly vetted
Analyze and evaluate

emerging technologies and pressure test

innovation value cases
  • Develop and socialize EA Point of Views on emerging technologies and potential value cases
  • Conducts POCs with stakeholders and liaise with external parties (vendors) to provide feasibility analysis and vendor assessments
  • Guides the evaluation and selection process of emerging vendors and technology solutions

Support Enterprise Architects in defining the overall IT strategy and roadmap
  • Provide the end-to-end view on how all components fit together
  • Challenge the status quo while being realistic about the “art of the possible”
  • Identify opportunities to standardize the technology landscape for improved efficiency

Qualifications & Experience
  • 5-8 years of related experience
  • Bachelor Degree required

Knowledge
  • Multi-channel

    retail experience

    a must, consulting experience a plus
  • SalesForce Certified Technical Architect or B2C Solution Architect or equivalent experience
  • System development life cycle methodologies (e.g. spiral, agile, rapid prototyping, DevOps)

Technical Skills
  • SalesForce and additional commerce platform (e.g. Hybris, WebSphere) expertise
  • Headless ecommerce and

    social commerce architecture
  • CMS, CDN, DAM, SEO, UX design, personalization, A/B Testing and behavioral targeting
  • Microservices, API first approach, SOA, Master Data Management (Customer, Product)
  • Modeling (e.g. UML, ArchiMate), EA tools (e.g. LeanIX, Mega), CICD/automation technology
  • Familiarity with OMS, PIM, CDP technologies and PCI/PII/GDPR/PIPL regulations a plus
