Our client, a private medical practice, is looking to add a Medical Billing Specialist to their team in Asbury Park, NJ.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $17 - $21/hr
Position Overview: The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for monitoring collections, following up on accounts, and billing allowance posting.
Responsibilities of the Medical Billing Specialist:
Follow up with payers to resolve issues and collect payments
Identify and correct medical billing errors
Be able to communicate with insurance companies about issues with patient claims
Resubmit correct claims and review all claims EOBs and RA to confirm payment was received
Identify ways to improve collections process
Protect patients protected health information (PHI) in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
Qualifications for the Medical Billing Specialist:
At least 2 years A/R experience for a Medical Practice, Surgical Center, Hospital, or other medical facility
Ability to work independently or as a team
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
