Shop Laborer
A family owned aerial lift sales and rental company located in South Plainfield, NJ has an opportunity for a Shop Laborer opening up with the following responsibilities and requirements:
Responsibilities:
Clean/Sweep shop floor - operate floor sweeper/ apply oil absorbent where necessary & sweep
Empty trash in parts and shop areas
Clean and restock bathroom with supplies
Safe operation and power washing of aerial lift equipment
Painting of aerial lift equipment
Maintain shop grounds - mow lawns, weed whack, leaf duties, clean parking lot, rock salt application, etc.
Pick up Parts/Supplies from Local Distributors
Loading/Unloading deliveries
Keep power washing work station clean
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications-
Cleaning and Maintenance experience a plus, ability to work supervised and independently, valid driver license, painting experience, knowledge of operating lawn mowers, power washers, etc., attention to detail, the ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation , the agility and dexterity to operate aerial lift equipment and the ability to work well with others.
This position pays $15 per hour with eligibility for health and dental benefits after a probationary period.
The hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00PM, Monday to Friday
