Our client, a cutting edge biotech company, is looking to hire a Downstream Processing Chemical Engineer.
Salary/Hourly Rate: DOE
Position Overview: The experienced Downstream Processing Chemical Engineer will work withing the Bioprocess Team to develop and optimize recovery and purification processes.
Responsibilities of the Downstream Processing Chemical Engineer:
⢠Work within the Bioprocess Team to develop and optimize recovery and purification processes, using a strong background in chemical engineering or separation science to guide efforts
⢠Independently design experiments, apply new developments and deliver novel procedures, protocols and/or processes
⢠The Downstream Processing Chemical Engineer will communicate results, conclusions, and recommendations to colleagues and leadership
⢠Provide broad technical support in separation science to the Bioprocess team
⢠Acquire and maintain relevant technical and intellectual expertise in separation science and bioprocess engineering
Qualifications for the Downstream Processing Chemical Engineer:
⢠Strong background in chemical engineering or separation science to guide efforts
⢠Candidate should have been a process engineer, downstream engineer, have had experience with pilot plant operations or been a staff scientist somewhere in there past
Education Requirements:
⢠A PhD or extensive experience with a MS degree in Chemical Engineering
