LOCATION 4287 Route 130 S Edgewater Park NJ US 08010 OverviewThis position provides strategic and tactical design and support for a complex and large (600+ WAN sites) network infrastructure. Responsible for the successful daily operations and maintenance of the networks in the data center, stores and corporate environments. Architecture, Design, and Implementation of network infrastructure
In depth Network expertise from Cisco
Solid understanding of how to install and configure core datacenter network equipment including routers and switches, QOS, UCS, and virtual systems such as vblock.
Plan and maintain the highly technical, logical network configuration of routers, switches, VOIP, wireless, firewalls and other technology associated with network traffic.
Providing technical direction to IT department with regards to network related items.
Support broader WAN, VOIP, MPLS, Broadband, EVDO.
Analysis/Support
Support configuration of SAMBA, YP, IPSEC tunnels, network security and 3rd party packages
Expert knowledge of networking concepts, configure routing, switching, Domains and DNS technologies
Automation via scripts in administrative languages (Perl, Shell or VBscript)
Maintenance (LAN/WAN support)
Experienced with routines for troubleshooting, debugging and restoring communications within the network
Experienced with the terms of the vendor service, troubleshooting and referral to the NOC as required
Ability to communicate with technical and non technical 3rd party vendors to resolve issues.
Use Ciscoworks and other tools to provide vendor with insight to the issues causing problems
Operational Support
Train and direct novice network administrators or operators
Troubleshoot problems and issues independently
Able to administer complex site independently via on call rotation
Any other duties as assigned for support of network operations
Requirements:
Degree or certification in computer science or related field
Cisco CCNA preferred
4+ years of network experience, including voice, routing, and switching, core, UCS.
