Job Description SummaryThe role of the VP is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives and to serve as a valued member of the Global Services (GS) Leadership Team. The VP directs the planning and implementation of enterprise systems and applications in support of BD operations to foster innovation that creates competitive advantage, enhances the customer experience, improves service quality, supports business development, improves cost effectiveness, and leads to greater productivity and efficiency. This individual is responsible for codeveloping the information technology and systems to be used globally. This critical position reports directly to the EVP GS/CIO and works along side the GS leadership.The VP is expected to have an understanding of technical activity including analyzing the Enterprise’s current technology infrastructure, application portfolios, business architecture services (e.g., BD Global Shared Services (GSS)), emerging technologies like automation and AI, as well as assuring alignment with strategic plans.The VP will have to engage with all members various business/GS stakeholders to deploy, establish, and deliver the goals and objectives of the organization. This VP should be knowledgeable and have consideration for existing segment strategies, regional strategies, and functional strategies, as they relate to the goals and objectives of the technologies to be used.Job DescriptionPrimary responsibilities will include:Lead strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future systems across the organization to ensure flexible, effective systems able to adjust to reasonable future demands consistent with the business plans of the organization.RequirementsMinimum of 10-15 years of technical leadership experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience managing internal talent, as well as 3rd party consultants.Strong knowledge of global technologies, like ERP, SAP, JDE In-depth knowledge of orchestration, automation, and data analytics Experience working with a variety of third-party companies to achieve business goals Able to align and connect business strategies with diverse global stakeholders Excellent presentation and communication skills Lead and manage project teams, both direct and indirect, and ensure that appropriate resources are allocated Subject matter expertise relevant to assigned business area Ability to communicate complex business challenges in a non-technical and simplified manner to BD senior management Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives; reviews formulation of project definitions showing project objectives, information system requirements, and analytical and programming personnel requirements of proposed systems. Coordinate with business partners and develop strategies to implement various solutions effectively. Develop customized project portfolios and ensure compliance to all business objectives. Administer effective delivery of all projects with appropriate budget and timeframe. Develop an annual plan according to business requirements. Evaluate current system and technology and recommend modification to present modules to ensure effectiveness. Maintain knowledge on emerging trends and initiate appropriate decisions for various technology. Coordinate with professionals and develop coaching programs to ensure an effective working environment. Prepare business goals for both individuals and teams and ensure optimization of business.Administer and develop growth strategies for company through various information technology plans. Design and execute various business plans and policies and ensure optimization of human resources. Analyze requirement for company and develop projects in coordination with software and equipment personnel. Monitor all up-gradation process for company on software and hardware and ensure effective working of all associate activities. Monitor all functions of department and ensure compliance to work standards. Establish time schedule for company objectives and goals and ensure compliance to same. Administer work of all employees and ensure work according to schedule. Monitor everyday work of organization and provide technical support to all activities. Provide technical support to all services of organization. Administer maintenance, licensing and purchase of all information technology software systems. Analyze all business objectives and recommend solutions to regarding all investments.
