This position sits under WMG Marketing and reports to the Director of Vertical Brand Strategy.

Ideal candidate profile:
We’re looking for passionate-about-data, insights-driven, hyper-organized, fun, people-oriented folks who are truly willing to roll up their sleeves to support a fast-paced business.

The ideal candidate has a consultative approach, is highly analytical and exceptionally articulate in communicating and translating data into digestible insights. They are self-motivated and thrive in a dynamic environment where they can balance multiple workstreams and projects across verticals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather data using internal and external tools, synthesizing it to uncover insights and help tell a cohesive story—always maintaining data fidelity and accuracy.

Pull appropriate data and prepare reporting in support of key proactive initiatives, meetings and negotiations. This includes transferring it onto designed charts, tables, etc.

Juggle a list of urgent and important requests, investigations, and analyses across verticals.

Own and streamline data mining process by driving efficiencies and building strong partnerships with all data-related teams, and WMG Analytics in particular.

Build and maintain expertise about first-party and third-party data sources and available dashboards.

Become perfectly fluent in WMG data-sharing guidelines, partnering with stakeholders to ensure appropriate use and sourcing of information.

Be proactive, self-motivated and highly driven.

Have an eye for detail and mind for strategy.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience, working cross-functionally in data mining and analysis, preferably in digital advertising, retail, or media industries—synthesizing it to create reports and dashboards.
Excellent mathematical, analytic, written and verbal communication skills.

Highly analytical, curious by data and able to synthesize complex information into clear takeaways.


STRONGLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Proficiency with third-party data tools like Comscore, Nielsen, NPD, Mintel, MRI, Statista, Euromonitor, Adobe Omniture.
