DescriptionYou might be perfect for this Mercer County, New Jersey position as a Medical Receptionist! This is a short-term temporary opportunity. You will be the director of first impressions in this Medical Receptionist role, providing customer service over the phone and in-person. Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
Be detail-oriented and effective with customer inquiries and when answering phone calls within minimum rings
Delegating various files and providing general office duties, e.g. data entry, faxing, scanning, etc.
Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
Rendering assistance in the management of patient medical records
Providing help to patients filling out paperwork
Directing patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
Requirements
Proficiency in faxing
Scanning experience
Filing experience preferred
Knowledgeable of medical terminology and insurance products and plans
1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist
Incoming phone call management skills required
Prior experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
This role requires you to have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system
