Job Description

Develop logical and physical data models to support business reporting and analytics

o Design Kimball style Facts and Dimensions for Data Warehouse

o Design denormalized data structures for MDM

o Document models and modeling standards

Design, build, deploy and monitor ETL processes.

o Design ETL processes to load Data Warehouse and MDM table

o Integrate Tokenization into ETL processes to secure sensitive data

o Enhance Entity Resolution ETL processing for MDM

o Monitor ETL processes and data quality

Document ETL processes and standards

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of Data Warehousing experience.
  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining ETL solutions.
  • Ability to write efficient, highly performant SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of OLTP and OLAP database data modeling (2+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of Dimensional Modeling following Kimball methodologies (2+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of how to work with all types of data sources (RDBMS, NoSQL, REST API’s, flat files etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and building data marts with respect to the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of data integration and building pipelines between internal and external data sources and systems
  • Working knowledge of Tokenization practices.
  • Working knowledge of coding standards/best practices with the ability to follow established coding patterns.
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented programing and design patterns.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Java.
  • Proficiency with database technologies MySQL (Aurora), MSSQL, Oracle, S3, Redshift, Snowflake or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (GIT)
  • Ability to work within the Agile methodology and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building/working with MDM solutions is a plus.
  • Experience using AWS server less services such as lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Step Functions is a plus.
  • Experience with one or more Business Intelligence platforms such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with machine learning model training is a plus.
