Job Title: SSP Contract Specialist
Overview:
We are looking for a talented Contract Specialist to join our dynamic Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team by managing the entire life cycle of the company's contracts from first request to final signature and distribution. This role is key to driving the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the Procurement team by creating and improving processes, maintaining records, and coordinating communications between the, Legal, Risk and Compliance, and Insurance departments and other cross-functional partners. The ideal contract specialists should enjoy editing contracts, demonstrating excellent attention to detail abilities. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract agreements, and legal terminology.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Undertake an initial contract review and negotiate standard the contract provisions for compliance of legality and for profitability if applicable
• Prepare, edit, or amend contracts and handles terms of contract breach.
• Liaise between business units and Legal, Risk and Compliance and Insurance team to facilitate entire approval and execution process
• Enforce Company Signatory Authority Policy and Procedures
• Maintain contract database and run analytics on an as-requested basis
• Liaise with the Compliance team to perform vendor due diligences
• Guide stakeholders on the contract processes and procedures
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in law, business management or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications.
• Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment, utilizing effective organizational skills to prioritize and manage deadlines for multiple stakeholders
• Team-player with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional role
• Excellent judgment, discretion, interpersonal skills

Must Haves:
-Background in Procurement and Legal Terms.
-3+ years of experience in procurement, contracts and legal.
-Must be ok working in a fast paced environment
-Needs to have legal knowledge of contract terms - liability, services, procurement.
-MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, amendments, order forms - basically anything with legal terms
-Professional and great communication skills
