The Senior Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of customer's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates.
Provides expertise and leadership in a specific business domain within a line of business. Serves in a cross-program role to ensure quality of the deliverables within their areas of expertise and drives innovation and strategic solutions within global, mission-critical, large-scale programs.
Gathers and analyzes information and provides recommendations to address strategic business objectives that span multiple, global business and technology areas. Ensures an end-to-end solution for delivery of the desired business results.
Elicits, challenges, and prioritizes requirements, translates into functional design, and user stories.
Manages the project scope, objectives, constraints, and assumptions for mid to large, strategic, and multi-domain initiatives.
Manages scope and change throughout the initiative utilizing formal change control and requirements traceability.
Participates in industry forums and keeps current on domain knowledge for their specific business and application areas of expertise.
Contributes to the achievement of departmental objectives.
Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Experience in the financial industry required with experience in Brokerage and Bank Custody preferred
Must have experience working on mid-to-large scale projects
Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
