Manufacturing Company located in Ocean County, NJ is looking for a Part-time Accounting Assistant.
25 Hours per Week Flexible Daily M-F 8:30AM 5PM
Job Description:
Assist Accounts Receivable Clerk with:
Daily Cash Bank Deposit and Application
Process Credit Card Payments and Credits
Follow-up for Deposits
Deduction Resolution
Respond to Incoming Accounts Receivable Inquiries
Collection of past due accounts and follow-up
New Account Management
Invoice Entry
Other A/R duties as assigned
Assist Accounts Payable Clerk with:
Review of incoming invoices for legitimacy, product, pricing
Match invoices with Purchase Orders and follow up for missing documentation
Dispute incorrect charges / pricing
Prepare invoices for payment
Respond to A/P inquiries
Ensure proper coding into Accounting Software and prepare invoices for payment
Filing
Other A/P duties as assigned
Assist Controller with:
Vendor Prepayment applications
G/L Allocation of Credit Card charges
Other duties as assigned
Candidates should possess:
2+ years of Accounting (A/P & A/R) experience
Knowledge of general accounting concepts
Good communication, analytical and organization skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel & Word
Experience with Great Plains Software preferable
Physical requirements:
Ability to work on computer keyboard for periods of time
Sitting / working on computer and telephone for periods of time
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
Capable of walking throughout Factory to obtain any missing paperwork from Supervisory Staff
Capable of walking up and down stairs
