Founded in 2006, Boardwalk Homecare offers families a cross-functional team of nurses, case managers and home health aides to support the non-medical home care needs for seniors living in New Jersey. Boardwalk Homecare is currently seeking a RN Supervisor to coordinate through our Monmouth County office. This is a flexible and part-time position for someone available between 9am-2pm or 9am-3pm, Monday through Friday.
Duties of Position
ï Assists with the planning, coordination, leading, controlling, and evaluating of home health services
ï Assists with the coordination and management of home health clinical services
ï Acts as a liaison with the medical community, clients, and field personnel
Responsibilities of Position
ï Provides daily supervision of home health aides to ensure quality of service is within the required plan of care
ï Initiates and reviews the clinical content, diagnoses, medical history, medications, and other statuses from client records
ï Appraises staff performance and provides the teaching and counseling necessary to enhance the delivery of services and the professional development of health aide staff
ï Identifies and evaluates client needs and appropriateness of home care by reviewing the initial intake screening form before assignment of direct care staff
ï Assists with the orientation of new professional staff to familiarize them with policies and procedures
ï Conducts client visits in the appropriate setting as needed
ï Initiates in-home supervisory visits of clinical staff as needed
ï Maintains confidentiality of medical records, personnel records, etc., within the scope of their position
ï Performs other duties as assigned in a professional matter
Job Conditions
ï May be required to bend, stoop, reach, and move clients as well as lift and carry more than 50 pounds
ï Personal vehicle and driver's license is required for travel.
Qualifications
ï Must be a registered nurse (RN) licensed in the state and have worked as an RN for at least two years
ï A minimum of one year of home health care or equivalent experience is preferred
ï Ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others, and maintain commitment and enthusiasm to achieve goals
ï Customer-service oriented
ï The ability to utilize a PC, MS Office and home care software
ï The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
