For over 30 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services, Inc. has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most.

The human resources specialist is responsible for maintaining compliance of employee records with all federal and state regulations and Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) standards. Preferred is hiring a human resources specialist for our Claymont, Delaware office.

Duties of Position

Responsible for the human resources department and overseeing all personnel issues within the branch office.

Responsibilities of Position

1. Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees based on applicant credentials and qualifications, including training and licensure

2. Uses a consistent and non-discriminating process to select employees as follows:

a. Conducts personal interviews with all applicants at the time of recruitment and selection

b. Obtains two written or verbal employment references and job history

c. Verifies education, experience, training, and license or certification, as appropriate to job responsibilities

d. Selects and employs qualified individuals

3. Coordinates an orientation program for all new employees, including an introduction to the organization, staff, and employee rules and responsibilities

4. Ensures that all employees meet their required mandatory training and keeps records of

in-services

5. Ensures that all employees are meeting the performance expectations stated in their job descriptions by communicating with supervisors

6. Ensures that all employees are in compliance with the mandatory requirements for employment

7. Maintains strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy

8. Maintains a current client roster with necessary information

9. Develop strong, communicative relationships with the office team

Job Conditions

1. Position is guided by goals and deadlines, which requires excellent organizational and time management skills

2. May require minimal lifting of office records and printouts

Qualifications

1. A college degree is preferred

2. Three years of human resources or equivalent experience is preferred

3. Experience in health care preferred

4. Customer service-oriented

5. The ability to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other office equipment

6. The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing

7. Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, We are working remote right now through COVID-19 plus benefits and PTO.
