Manufacturing company located in Edison, NJ is in need of several Shipper / Packers to support the Shipping Department with all required department procedures in order to meet or exceed production orders, customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
You will also have the opportunity to be cross-trained to work in their Production Department and work as a Machine Operator. Schedule
1st shift
(Monday thru Friday) 6:00 AM -2:30 PM
Overtime will be up to 4:00 PM or 6:00 PM
This position may require to work OT/Saturdays when neededThe position is estimated to last 6 months. Responsibilities:
Receive work orders for the day and pack orders to ship to clients daily.
Meet client shipment quotas
Package orders for shipment (prepare appropriate boxes for shipment and tape them together, and choosing correct box size listed on work orders)
Maintain equipment and complete housekeeping tasks as required.
Adhere to company safety policies.
QC to ensure acceptance of finished goods.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.Qualifications:
Relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful but not required.
Experience in Shipping , Receiving and packing products - quality assurance a huge plus.
RF Scanner experience
Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
Proven hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Quality conscious and excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work effectively as a member of team and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Ability to ensure compliance to guidelines, policies, procedures and practices.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
