UI Engineer with React Experience
We are building digital products to serve our brands, brokers, agents and consumers. As an UI Engineer, you will be working hands-on in a technical role to build the next generation of products in support of our Brands' Value Propositions.
The role of the UI Engineer builds and implements highly scalable user interfaces for our Brands, Agents and Customers using the latest cutting-edge technologies.
You'll work as part of a nimble team, contributing to large-scale initiatives that impact multiple product lines and teams across the organization. You'll work closely with Engineers, Designers and Product Managers.
You should be comfortable to communicate in a clear and concise manner; this includes being comfortable engaging in regular discussions with key stakeholders; organize, manage and communicate project status, findings, and escalations on a regular basis.
What you'll do:
Work with Designers and Engineers to define, design and build highly scalable and action driven front end experiences
Work in cross-functional environments to design and develop new functions and features for our product lines
Design, build, and implement highly reusable and reliable code
Build testable code
Create and provide regular feedback loops
What you need to succeed:
Expert technical background with hands-on development in React
Expert understanding of REST and GraphQL
Experience in Material UI preferred
Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in the ES6/ES7 specifications
Expert knowledge in building flexible and scalable components
Experience with AWS
Proficiency in testing tools
Experience in backend programming languages
Understanding of micro-service solutions and large scale, enterprise-grade applications
Experience in CI/CD processes
Experience developing in a cloud-first environment (containers, server-less)
Proficiency in Project Management and ability to work in an agile development process
Solid understanding and proficiency with git and other standard development tools
Ability to work quickly with an eye towards writing clean, efficient and reusable code
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
