Responsible for the entire contract lifecycle for contracts that are managed by Renewable and Energy solutions group Working with the project teams, procurement, legal to develop scope of workAssist team with bid processContract negotiationThrough contract signaturePre-execution contract supportPost execution contract supportMaintaining contractEnsuring contracts deliverables are deliveredContract are complying with projectsIf any subsequent issues or any assistance project may need, should be available to help with those issues Another area need help on:Supplier performance effort - help project teams understand how it's run and data needs to collect to properly evaluate suppliersProject teams - measures submittals of deliverables and facilitating conversation between project team and vendor - and tell vendor how they have to improve - needs mediator to lead those discussions Types of contracts to support:Experience in understanding IT specifically Agile scopes of workFamiliar with SAAS SolutionsExperience in energy efficiency programs - idealelectric vehicle - idealWill be assigned mainly to electric vehicles program within Raasnew program coming online
Role/Responsibilities:Provide substantive and administrative support in the area of contract management for the project management, project controls, and construction management processes of the Electric T&D organization. Participate in 'cradle to grave' contract management, from early involvement with developing the scope of work, RFx process, contract negotiation, contract award, contract maintenance, through contract closeout. Review contracts to identify key contract rights and obligations, prepare contract summaries, and ensure that all company and contractor obligations are met within prescribed deadlines. Continuously manage contract implementation and monitoring to ensure compliance by both company and contractor. Participate in or lead project meetings and field visits to construction sites. Develop and maintain process documentation. Communicate and champion processes and information transfer to maximize implementation of improvement opportunities. Identify and document gaps in contractor performance and make recommendations for improvement opportunities. Analyze data to support contractor/vendor evaluations. Establish/measure/analyze contractor performance and recommend/take appropriate actions as necessary. Provide support and problem resolution to project management in coordination with the appropriate Service Company partners (Legal, Procurement, Tax, Enterprise Risk Management, etc.). Demonstrate teamwork; work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, leading and following as needed.

Experience is more important than the degree (education)
Essential Requirements:BS/BA degree or equivalent experienceDemonstrated understanding of contract administration and managementExpertise in contract review and interpretationAnalytical ability, business sense, highly motivatedProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new applicationsMust be able to attend off-site meetings as requiredMust have excellent oral and written communication skills
Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Relevant advanced degree (J.D. preferred)Project Management Professional certification (PMP)General knowledge of energy efficiency programs with a utility focusGeneral knowledge of electric vehicle programsGeneral knowledge of uniform commercial code and contract lawExperience in a project, construction, utility, or industrial business environmentExperience negotiating contract disputesExperience conducting bid eventsBusiness and legal writing experienceExperience with project management and document management software tool applications (Sharepoint, McLaren, SAP, P6, etc.)Experience with drafting and reviewing Service Level Agreements
