Our client is a fast-growing logistics operations company that owns, operates and manages multiple warehouses. This is a highly-demanding and challenging Temporary to Permanent Senior Accountant position based in Essex County. Salary/Hourly Rate: $25 - $30 per hour
Position Overview: We are looking for a qualified Temporary to Permanent Senior Accountant to undertake all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory & financial reporting and budget preparation.Our commitments, which include safety, integrity, diversity & giving back to the community are the fabric of our culture and help drive the success of our business.
Responsibilities of the Temporary to Permanent Senior Accountant:
⢠Performing detailed analysis and providing reports and financial statements as necessary
⢠Reconciling accounts (bank, credit card, cash, insurance payments)
⢠Maintaining General Ledger (completing the balance sheet reconciliation for assigned accounts on a monthly basis)
⢠Assisting in forecast planning cycles
⢠Assisting CFO/Controller as needed
⢠Monitoring monthly accruals and prepaid expenses
⢠Maintaining chart of accounts
⢠Assisting in month end close responsibilities
⢠Researching and resolving accounting issues
⢠Helping with additional job duties assigned
Qualifications for the Temporary to Permanent Senior Accountant:
⢠Bachelor's degree or Sr. Level Accountant experience preferred
⢠4-6 years of related experience
⢠Logistics background is a PLUS
⢠Experience with multi-company accounting preferred
⢠Understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
⢠Proven analytical and organizational skills with attention to details required
⢠Strong communication skills both verbal and written
⢠Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
⢠A proven track record in meeting deadlines and working collaboratively as part of a team are essential
⢠Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups & macros)
Education Requirements:
⢠Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
