A NJ MBE / SBE and DOT certified firm, has been serving the needs of the commercial industrial and public sectors construction industry with our extensive experience in the paving and milling of roads, parking lots, walkways/paths, etc. since 1979. We also specialize in sidewalks and curbs, drainage, and utilities work. We are also a NJ DPMC, PWC, SDA and NJ/NY Port Authority- certified company. We have an immediate opening for a Project Field Engineer to work out of our Bloomfield, NJ office.
Project Field Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
Be able to communicate with management team and keep project on time and on budget
Keep accurate field notes
Fill out Daily Project sheet with all receipts, turn into office for job costing
Be able to accuratley measure work items for billing
Clear communication skills
Knowledge of products
Work closely with engineers, managers and subcontractors
Able to deal effectively with customers, employees and vendors
Ensure that utility mark-outs are completed and updated as required.
The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written is a must.
Must be self motivated and can handle working on multiple projects at the same time.
Excel, Outlook, Word experience
Must be detail orientated and be able to handle fast-paced environment.
Must be able to schedule work activities including material orders/deliveries and traffic control
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
Experience with the following:
Asphalt Paving
Utility Work
Storm Drainage
Concrete Work
Site Work
