40-unit co-op apartment complex is seeking a live-in superintendent.
Pay is in the form of a residence, with one bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and free access to laundry facilities.
Tasks should take, on average, 10 hours per week. Snow must be addressed at any hour required for the passage and safety of the other residents.
A family of four has lived in this space previously, though with small children.
Duties include:
1. Weekly cleaning of the public hallways
i. Vacuuming & dusting all stairwells and entryways
2. General common area maintenance
i. Replace light bulbs in public areas
ii. Grounds clean-up (raking, picking up trash on grounds, maintaining the grounds includes the task of turning on sprinklers in the Spring)
3. Weekly cleaning of the laundry room
4. Cutting the grass weekly during the spring and summer
(beginning on or about May 1 and ending on or about September 15); edging
5. Shoveling and plowing snow from sidewalks and steps
6. Salting the sidewalks and steps after a snow storm
7. Cleaning up trash around the dumpster area
8. Placing recyclables at the curb for pick-up
9. Responding to emergency calls from residents
Equipment includes snow plows, lawn mower, and edger.
