City Fire Equipment Company, the leader in fire protection in the State of New Jersey is expanding. We are looking for a Fire Sprinkler Sales/Estimator with a “Hunter Mentality” to join our team of nearly 100 professionals. We are a family owned business, started in 1952, committed to the fire safety field.
Job Responsibilities:
Estimating and Quoting Fire Sprinkler Systems for institutional, industrial and commercial facilities
Developing working relationships with our current customer base as well as with new customers interested in
purchasing design, fabrication and installation of fire sprinkler systems
Establishing contact with prospective customers of new construction and service contracts through marketing,
scheduling service calls and following up on leads
Representing City Fire and developing relationships with the main objective of negotiating, reviewing and
executing price and terms of agreement
Participate in pre-bid, pre-construction, post-project and weekly progress meetings
Read and comprehend plans and specifications
Preparing detailed cost estimates including design, fabrication, permits, subcontracts, equipment and
installation labor
Have a working knowledge of all local and national codes, specifications and guidelines set forth by authorities
having jurisdiction
Meet productivity and time line goals
Close sufficient sales to exceed sales plan objectives
Qualifications:
5+ years Sales experience in Fire Sprinkler System sales
NICET certification and/or a strong commitment to gain certification
Knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R and 13D
Strong knowledge of local and national building codes
Valid Driver’s License
Proven ability to work independently while also being a team player
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous base salary, plus incentives. A
vehicle, laptop and phone are also provided. Health care for the employee and family members and a 401k are
also available.
