Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Plumber’s Helper to support our plumbing team in a variety of residential and commercial projects. This entry-level position is ideal for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience and building a long-term career in the plumbing trade. The ideal candidate is hardworking, eager to learn, and committed to providing quality service alongside our licensed plumbers.
The Plumber’s Helper will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and water treatment systems, including water heaters and filtration units. This role involves physical labor, the use of hand and power tools, and working in various environments. Training will be provided, and opportunities for advancement will be available to the right individual.
Duties
Assist plumbers with the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems
Carry and organize tools, parts, and materials at job sites
Prepare work areas by cutting pipe, drilling holes, and basic assembly
Support with water heater installs, filter replacements, and service tasks
Load and unload equipment and materials from work vehicles
Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of work vehicles and job sites
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Learn and apply plumbing techniques under supervision
Provide basic customer service in support of lead technicians
Complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
Prior experience in plumbing or construction is required
Willingness to learn and take direction from licensed plumbers
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in tight spaces
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team
A valid driver's license is required for this job
