Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Specialist with a strong background in air and ocean NVOCC operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in import and export container services, trucking coordination, warehousing, and overall supply chain management. This role requires a customer-focused professional who can manage shipments from origin to final delivery while maintaining strong operational and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage air and ocean freight shipments from origin through final delivery

Handle import and export documentation, compliance, and regulatory requirements

Manage NVOCC operations including bookings, bills of lading, and carrier coordination

Coordinate container drayage, trucking, and last-mile delivery services

Work directly with ports, terminals, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouses

Track shipments, troubleshoot issues, and provide proactive customer updates

Ensure compliance with all local, federal, and international shipping regulations

Maintain accurate shipment records and operational documentation

Analyze routes, costs, and transit times to improve efficiency

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and service providers

Support warehousing operations, inventory coordination, and cross-docking as needed

Assist with rate negotiations and carrier performance monitoring

Deliver a high level of customer service and operational support

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding

Strong experience in air and ocean NVOCC operations

Proven background in import and export container services

Working knowledge of trucking, drayage, and warehousing operations

Familiarity with local ports and terminals is a plus

Broad understanding of supply chain management

Experience building and maintaining professional relationships

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Customer service–driven mindset

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Minimum 40+ WPM typing speed

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
