ROLE SUMMARYAs one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, this position is a highly visible, project-oriented position. This position operates as a Director, Transfer Pricing and will participate in all aspects of Global Tax's transfer pricing policy maintenance and defense. The position is based at the company's New York, NY or Peapack, NJ offices.The candidate must be a highly motivated transfer pricing professional with proven leadership skills and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. This role is complex requiring strong financial analysis and technical transfer pricing skills. A thorough understanding of management accounting and an ability to analyze and understand financial statements is critical. Must be familiar with international tax issues in complex intercompany and third-party transactions.The position also requires experience with tax audit controversy in both the US and/or abroad.Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, particularly the ability to explain complex tax strategies and concepts to non-tax professionals at very senior levels.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESWorking with Transfer Pricing Center of Excellence (TP CoE) and International Tax Counsels as Transfer Pricing Country Lead for specific assigned markets;

Understanding all aspects of financial and functional operations in assigned markets;

Handling inquiries regarding accounting and operational issues raised by the various business units, functional organizations and local markets within Pfizer;

Participating in all aspects of product pricing and legal entity profit reviews for assigned markets including assessing reasonableness of transfer prices for tangible goods and services by gathering all relevant facts and data;

Providing necessary analyses to support recommendations about intangible and tangible goods pricing;

Ensuring compliance with all transfer pricing requirements in assigned markets including preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports, assistance with disclosure forms etc;

Providing Tax Audit support on transfer pricing issues for both US and assigned foreign markets including analyzing local financials, preparing responses to IDRs, anticipating areas of potential controversy based on knowledge of the market;

Supporting all aspects of financial and functional analyses to determine transfer pricing implications of supply chain decisions, deals and acquisitions;

Analysis of intercompany service arrangements;

Collaborating effectively across the tax, finance, legal and operating organizations within Pfizer;

Managing multiple projects in a dynamic and complex environment;

Keeping abreast of developments in US and OECD tax/transfer pricing regulations and identifying issues or opportunities attendant to those developments;

Understanding the pharmaceutical industry.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSStrong technical Transfer Pricing background with minimum of 10 years of experience, at least half of which was within a Transfer Pricing specialty practice in either a Big 4 or specialty consulting firm.

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree strongly preferred, preferably in Economics, Finance (MBA) or related quantitative field.

CPA or experience with corporate tax reporting, a plus but not required.

IRS and or foreign tax audit experience strongly preferred.

Excellent communication skills both written and oral required.

Ability to work with and influence others.

Strong project management skills, highly motivated self-starter.

Understanding of the pharmaceutical or chemical industries a plus.
