Job Title: SQL Developer / Database Developer
Description: Dextro Inc. is seeking a SQL Database Developer/Analyst to work for our client.
Requirements:
• Will harvest data sources, validate data quality, load data
• Will develop scripts, processes, and SQL queries for large tables
• Will develop aggregate / summary tables and posting processes
• Works in teams with technical and non-technical staff
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Works alongside Analysts for technical details of harvesting data
• Expected to be a self starter and resolve most obstacles without escalation
• Expected to recommend project approaches and designs to the team
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of hand on experience in SQL query development
• Comfortable with Perl and / or Shell scripts
• Comfortable in a Linux environment
• Expert level Excel skills (data manipulations)
• Experience with 2 or more SQL databases would be helpful (Oracle, MySQL, Neteeza, Teradata, Vertica, etc.)
• Experience accessing data from external sources and loading into SQL DBs would be a plus!
• ETL experience a plus!
