This is a long term contract opportunity and may have the potential to go permanent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gain in-depth knowledge of Company's. product offerings and Development Life Cycle (DLC) processes.
Quickly learn complex technical products in several sectors/service areas and develop comprehensive user-friendly documents/diagrams/charts/workflows, etc.
Attend product training sessions
Interact/hands on with product interfaces
Work closely with Agile teams to understand core product releases
Work closely with other internal stakeholders (esp. PDM, Architects, PJM, OPS, etc.)
Control core product DLC release documentation sets
Manage electronic libraries and lists used to store and track release documentation packages
Coordinate signing/approval and publication of release documentation
Report on department metrics: Gathers, represents, and analysis data on product quality, resource utilizations, other operational areas such as adherence to training metrics, overdue CAPAs, and tracking Security mitigation issues.
Provide general coordination and support to the department and team projects as needed.
Utilize exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills to produce engaging and error-free content.
Perform editing reviews to ensure clarity, conciseness, grammar & accuracy
Perform Functional Business Analysis and Traceability tasks
Review, assess, and update as needed current style guide and format standards
Provide editorial oversight in order to maintain document integrity, stylistic consistency and format standards within a given document, throughout document sets, and between product document families
Provide other writing and editorial assistance as needed (e.g. reviewing materials, etc.)
Maintain secure DLC documentation archives
Creation and maintenance of Process and DLC deliverable documents, including but not limited by the following:
Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs)
Standard Work Instructions ( SWIs)
System Requirements Specifications (SRS)
Design Specifications
API Guides with code samples
Architectural Overviews
System diagrams
User Guides, Online Help
Training Materials
Style Guides
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED: (Key wording should include if degree is needed, any travel requirements, special qualifications needed, skills, etc.)
Education:
Undergraduate/graduate degree in Technical/Science Communication, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Quality Engineering, Life Sciences or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 10+ years as a technical writer
Experience writing, editing, updating Development Life Cycle documents/artifacts within an R&D/Engineering environment following a SAFe/Agile methodology.
Domain experience within the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Medical Devices/Health Care or other Regulated Industry
Knowledge of complete spectrum of technical writing and print production processes.
Must have expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional, PDF file creation and use, image applications or equivalent tools.
Expert-level knowledge of RoboHelp Online Help systems or equivalent
Excellent written and communication skills.

Must be detailed oriented , updating end-user software Online Help and/or printed guides
