Our busy Allergy office is in a need for high energy, multitasker medical assistant for an office-based medical practice. Your Primary responsibilities will include: Prepping the patients, get vitals, confirm the history and purpose of their visit. You will Assist the physicians, Perform Pulmonary Function testing, Assist in making allergy serums and administer allergy shots. You will assist the front desk in answering the phones and making appointments, etc. as required.
Duties: Welcomes patients by greeting them and preparing them for the health care visit.
Escorting them to the exam room and take vitals.
Verify information by reviewing and/or recording medical history;
Go over current and medication history.
Confirming the purpose of the visit or treatment.
Administering allergy shots.
Authorizing drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies;
Educates patients
Skills/Qualifications: Completed a Medical Assistant program and have an active NJ state Medical Assistant Certified license.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a MUST.
Computer friendly and EHR familiarity is a MUST.
Reliable and Dependable.
Some evening hours required.
We work out of two offices. Travel Required.
