EMSL Analytical, one of the largest environmental testing laboratories in the United States, is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Worker III for its Headquarters in Cinnaminson, NJ. This position requires someone who is dependable and reliable. The ideal candidate would be someone that is flexible, can manage time well, and is handy with general maintenance duties.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Candidate will be working in our main Headquarters located in Southern New Jersey, but will be required to travel to any of our laboratories located throughout North America.
General construction abilities include the ability to strip a rental unit when one tenant leaves and ready the unit for the new tenant. This would typically include carpet removal and replacement.
Plumbing projects to include disassembly and reassembly for toilets, vanities, and sinks.
Light fixture maintenance to include battery replacement and bulb replacement and disassembly and reassembly for existing light fixtures.
Landscaping local properties such as mowing lawns, trash removal, weed whacking, mulching and trimming bushes.
General maintenance repairs/projects to include spackling, some sheet rock repair, building new metal studs and sheet-rock walls and painting.
Stripping and waxing existing tile floors.
Installing new Vinyl Composition Tiles and ceramic floors
Indoor and outdoor projects
Travel to various locations from time to time picking up equipment and furniture and/or repairing same on-site installing new lab cabinets and counter tops.
Construct walls and install new doors.
Typical tasks include installing, cutting wood, moving furniture and equipment, painting, cleaning, trash removal and other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
HS Diploma or Equivalent.
Five or more years of construction related experience.
General worker mechanically inclined, good with hands
Good attitude and personable.
MUST have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Some forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
Must be able to travel to local and branch laboratory locations; will be travelling less than 10% of the time
Candidate might, at times, be required to fly by airplane and stay for overnight stays or up to a week at a time to complete projects at company laboratory locations.
Occasional lodging required based on the business need.
Must have own hand tools.
Must be able to Multi-task
Must be able to lift minimum of 35 pounds
Must be able to work extra hours and weekends if needed
Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm weekends and/or extra hours may be required to meet business demands.
