Carpenter: Connor Construction, LLC, Full-time
Overview
The Carpenter is a position with an hourly pay rate that is commensurate with experience. This position reports directly to the Field Project Manager. This is a full time position with many opportunities for overtime and weekend work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
You are expected to represent the professional image of Connor Construction by being on time and prepared for each and every work day.
It is everyone's responsibility to be productive on the job site. You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those working with you. You must learn the safety practices of this company and adhere to them.
At times, you will be asked to work independently. This will require attention to detail, quality and an ability to stay on task until finished.
In the absence of the Field Project Manager, you are responsible for seeing that other employees remain on task and are productive.
Skills and Education
You will need knowledge of residential and commercial construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, safety and applicable building codes. You must have superior framing and finish skills. You should have at least two years of professional experience as a Carpenter.
Know and understand all plans and specifications. Get answers to questions when plans and specifications are not clear.
Complete all work related to carpentry and other work generally done by this company including as follows:
Metal Framing and Drywall
Painting
Ceiling Grid and Tile
Installation of interior doors
Installation of interior trim of all varieties
Installation of cabinets
Installation and hookup of appliances
Have all the tools required for proper installation of the above-mentioned tasks.
Supervise all work done by other employees to ensure meeting company standards and specifications.
As directed by the Field Project Manager, be prepared for the subcontractor on the day they are scheduled and either clean up or ensure that the subs clean up.
Be onsite when the inspector(s) arrive, Stay current on codes that affect your work.
Assist in ordering the proper amount of materials to ensure that trips to the lumberyard during the project are limited to once every two weeks.
Receive material deliveries and ensure proper quantities and quality.
Return undamaged materials that cannot be used at the first available time.
You should have the prerequisite tools required hand tools expected of a remodeling carpenter.
All Connor Construction tools and equipment must be maintained and returned to storage when not in use. Report any faulty equipment to the Lead Carpenter.

Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour
