Data Governance Architect Location: Union, NJ Duration: 6 months As Architect, your responsibilities will include:
Delivering the data governance and privacy vision
Staying abreast of industry and regulatory trends and understand the evolving needs of our business
Building s data governance strategy by assessing the current state, defining the future state and overseeing execution of required plans
Establishing s enterprise data governance roadmap including strategic priorities for the development of information-based capabilities
Defining and implementing data governance framework, with a focus on protecting sensitive data (policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, and related technology) as well as recommending and implementing required changes
Supporting data owners and stewards in the application, development, and promotion of data governance practices for their data assets, including identifying compliance gaps and their remediation
Define performance indicators and metrics to ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
Prepare Board and senior management communications relating to data protection and privacy strategy, risks, mitigations, breaches and response.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is required.
5+ years of related work experience in a similar role in a Fortune 500 company or consulting practice at a national level.
Certification(s) Preferred: Obtained one or more of the following certifications: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other related certifications.
Experience working with the GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, GLBA and other relevant privacy regulations in order to perform data governance, data protection, compliance program assessments and privacy program implementations.
Experience conducting privacy and security risk and/or gap assessments and internal privacy audits, reviewing privacy practices, and preparing reports and other deliverables that contain strategy, project, or technical analysis and communicating those results to management.
Strong business acumen and operational capabilities across multiple areas such as finance, supply chain, operations, marketing, sales, HR, strategic planning, P&L management, acquisition and divestitures, and Legal
Knowledge of data management technology and usage strategy with considerable experience in emerging technologies such as analytics and artificial/business intelligence
Demonstrated experience in developing and operationalizing data guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards,
Knowledge of solutions such as OneTrust, Archer, etc. is a plus.
