The Behavior Specialist (BS) is responsible for developing Behavioral Support Plans (BSP) for individuals supported in our day program. The BS will assess an individual and develop a complete plan, which outlines support strategies to address specific target behaviors as identified in the assessment process. The BS will be responsible for training the Direct Support staff, and the identified Program Director (PD) on all aspects of the Behavioral Support Plan. The BS will also be responsible for providing on-going consultation and assistance to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for the purpose of updating the plan in response to the changing behavioral needs of the person served.
The Behavior Specialist must have a Masters in social work, psychology or Special ed or ABA, BCaBA , OR be certified in RBT.
This position requires the use of computer software applications. Required software applications for this position include, but are not limited to; MICROSOFT WORD, OUTLOOK, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, THERAP, Ultimate’s, UltiPro HRIS and the KRONOS timekeeping system.
The position's pay ratestarts at $45,900 and is open for negotiation with the State Director's approval.
