Ripen seeks a Business Development Representative that has proven experience selling ecommerce website strategy, design, development and content production to mid-size to large brands. In this position, you will be responsible for lead generation, cultivating sales opportunities and closing new business engagements. The Business Development Manager will be a “hunter” who will use their established network as well as targeted lists to source and qualify new business opportunities for our digital agency.
You will thrive at cultivating relationships from initial inquiry through all phases of sales development concluding with the project kick-off. You will partner very closely with the client account manager and project manager on to ensure scope and deliverables are realistic and achievable. You will also consult with all internal core subject matter experts (SMEs) on project scoping, pricing, proposals and negotiation of legal contracts.
The ideal candidate should have a deep rolodex of industry contacts focused on retail brands or manufacturers and a passion for cultivating new business relationships in a fun, fast paced environment. You should be the type of person that can leverage proven and new ideas on how to build customer relationships that solve problems in a proactive and innovative way.
