Job Description

Broadridge is hiring! We have (2) openings for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst. You'll be primarily responsible performing manual functional testing for the Proxy Services suite of products. The role will focus on the analyst's ability to understanding testing requirements, test case creation, test execution, and reporting test results for to all partners for assigned projects. You will be an individual contributor who is responsible for the preparation of test data, test planning and execution, reporting on testing status. The role is located in Deer Park, NY.

Analysis

  • Using business requirements documents analyze changes or modified code to create QA test plans in the QA test planning tool
  • Review existing test plans and scripts to determine where re-usable and/or improvements can be made.

Planning/Scripting

  • Create test plans and scripts for new and changed functionality as per department policies and manual testing procedures for functional positive/negative testing, regression, End to End/Integration.
  • Ensure test data sets are created for QA testing.
  • Ensure all manual QA documentation and QC manual test plan are maintained and kept up to date for SME applications.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to ensure consistent testing methodologies.

Testing

  • Perform the functional (positive/negative), regression, end-to-end/integration testing for new and changed functionality to ensure that requirements have been met, that system behavior is as expected
  • Identify points of failure by tracing them to the original source code, where applicable.
  • Liaise with the development teams and business team on testing discrepancies identified.

Reporting

  • Document, communicate, track, and manage all testing results.
  • Record testing discrepancies in the defect tracking system, including the necessary information to identify or recreate them.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Systems or related field
  • 5+ years working experience with the following:
  • Automated Script Development and manual testing.
  • Demonstrated experience using serenity/selenium
  • Experience and understanding of QA Automation testing frameworks and processes
  • Experience with QA test practices, constructing test cases and plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Skills/Competencies

  • Hands-on experience working within in a Quality Assurance group, with experiencing in test automation and DevOps.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and within a team environment
  • Experience in test automation using UFT
  • UFT experience in building object repositories, standard & custom checkpoints, parameterization, reusable functions, recovery scenarios, descriptive programming and API testing.
  • Knowledge of VBScript, C#, Java, HTML, and SQL
  • Experience using GIT or other Version Control Systems
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD release management processes and how they integrate with quality checkpoints
  • Experience developing, supporting, and/or testing web applications
  • Understanding of the need for testing of security requirements
  • Ability to understand API – JSON and XML formats with experience using API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Superb communication skills (verbal and written)
