Devereux will provide extremely high-quality, trauma-informed residential and educational services for refugee children, with intense supports for their social and emotional health. We will also ensure they receive excellent and immediate physical healthcare including pediatric, dental and nutritional supports for every child.Devereux’s ultimate goal is to ensure everyunaccompanied minorwho receives our services is successfully and quickly discharged into the loving care of their family sponsor and, during the short time they are with us, have received best-in-class medical, therapeutic, recreational and educational services designed specifically to address the traumas they have sustained during, and often before, their migration journey. The Bilingual Foster Care Recruiter/Trainer willbe responsible for the recruitment, assessment, selection, pre-service training, licensing and re-licensing of foster homes. This position will also assist in clinical components of foster care placement and provide follow up with foster families. You will collaborate with community partners and provide quality training to foster parents and staff. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field required.
Be bilingual in English/Spanish.
At least one (1) year work experience in non-profit public relations, sales, recruitment or outreach preferred. Work and/or volunteer experience in child welfare of social services highly preferred.
Outgoing and high-energy, with the ability to motivate people to action and a passion for serving children and youth.
Excellent public speaking, written communication, and interpersonal skills required. Must possess strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Availability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, and to travel throughout the county.
Have a valid driver’s license and minimum 21 years of age
