Is it possible that that perfect marketing assistant for us is out there? What does the perfect marketing assistant look like?
Well, they:
Will be calling warm leads and setting appointments. No cold calling.
Have a warm personality and like to talk with people on the phone.
Have excellent computer and tech skills, namely all Microsoft Office, Google and Adobe products.
Have excellent communication skills both on the phone, e-mail and social media.
You must know what it's like to dial the phone 50 times per day. You MUST be able to type and talk at the same time.
You must have a warm personality and like to talk with people on the phone and on social media. This is not 'strong' selling. This is relationship building.
Catch every little detail. Almost OCD, but not quite.
Know how to think on through a situation and create solutions rather than borrow their coworker's brains daily.
Actually take self-starting action and GSD (Gets Stuff Done).
Don't whine or complain when things get tough, they always do.
Don't feel entitled but rather come from a position of service.
They are willing to do work outside their scope such as general personal assistant things like buying office supplies and organizing office events.
