DescriptionAccountemps is looking for an entry-level Accountant to fulfill the day-to-day accounting operations for a client in the Manufacturing industry. In this position, your responsibilities will include data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. As part of a dynamic team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and have an opportunity for career growth. This role could be a great match if you have an aptitude for Excel, you maintain a positive attitude, and you are open to an entry-level accounting position. This opportunity is for a long-term temporary entry-level Accountant position and is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries monthly
Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Investigating and correcting account discrepancies
Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Log data
Executing other related duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Assisting with full cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
Requirements
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Solid understanding of QuickBooks
Foundational knowledge in inventory management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Excel experience
Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
Employer requires 1 year of accounting experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Preferred education is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
