Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements

Education directly related to the minimum requirements below may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

High school diploma or GED; and

Two (2) years of experience in industrial maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire.

Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.

Preferred Knowledge

Basic principles and practices of water quality

Knowledge of life support systems essential for maintaining fish and other aquatic life

Basic HVAC and plumbing techniques and procedures

Safety precautions when working around heavy equipment and laboratory chemicals

Principles and procedures of basic record keeping

Understand and follow oral and written instructions
