The Grove is Albuquerque’s iconic farm to table brunch restaurant that has been cooking since 2006. We love good food, our guests, our team and very specifically, BRUNCH. Roles & Responsibilities:
-Responsible for leading a high functioning, high volume kitchen team to deliver Grove’s excellent food quality standards while exceeding daily sales and labor goals and creating an environment of culinary excellence and teamwork
-Provides a professional leadership presence to motivate, train and support the kitchen team
-Expedites, leads and works the daily operation of the kitchen and works the kitchen line during service to meet and exceed service and guest expectations
-Executes and masters The Grove’s proprietary recipes to meet and exceed Executive Chef’s expectations
-Works daily to grow The Grove culture and standards among the kitchen team
-Is responsible for training and onboarding of new kitchen team members including menu, stations, prep, dish, and other BOH positions
-Controls labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, purchasing and inventory to maximize profit
-Properly writes and manages a detailed prep list for the team on a daily basis while adjusting par levels/portion control throughout the day
-Directs and manages daily service to meet our ticket time goals while providing an eye to detail for each and every plate
-Performs daily recipe tastings to ensure quality of product, recipes are followed and executed consistently and correctly
-Organizes the walk in and dry goods areas to ensure proper food storage to minimize waste and food spoilage
-Executes and trains team on all catering and catering recipes with beautiful presentation and proper execution times
-Works closely with the Catering Manager on weekly orders, times and special needs of the guest
-Coordinates training, coaching, development, motivation of kitchen employees to ensure exceptional food quality, presentation and a teamwork mentality
-Communicates with Executive Chef, General Manager, Restaurant/Catering Manager and ownership on a continual basis
-Executes and manages SOPs and checklists for kitchen line, prep, dish and all BOH areas
-Ensures all sanitation standards as set forth by The Grove’s Cleanliness Audit and by local, state and federal Health Department regulations are in compliance and consistently are above average
-Prepares monthly inventory of goods in a timely manner, the last day of every month

Schedule Expectations:
-Open availability
-5 days a week is typical, 6 days if deemed necessary by Management
-Weekends are non-negotiable(Fri/Sat/Sun)
