Casa Subina is residential assisted living for the elderly. We have 2 homes in Albuquerque and are currently hiring for.
Our Sun View house which is located on the WESTSIDE of town cares for 8 elderly residents (ratio is 4-1) and is hiring for:
1. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday from 8am to 8pm. This is a 12 hour shift. One week you work 3 days and off 4 and the next week you work 4 and are off 3.
2. Sunday 9am-5pm
Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 3pm-10pm. One week you work 3 days and off 4 and the next week you work 4 and are off 3.
3. Thursday, Friday and other Wednesday from 3pm-10pm
Saturday from 9am-5pm. One week you work 3 days and off 4 and the next week you work 4 and are off 3.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Compassionately caring for the elderly.
Cook and prep meals that have been planned for our residents.
Work with outside agencies such as Hospice and Home Health.
Assist residents with all ADL's including brief changes and showering.
Willingness to work as a team with the house owner, manager, resident RN and other team members.
Administer and assist with medications.
Ability to provide companionship and conversation with residents.
Ability to think for yourself.
The ability to communicate well with residents, staff and other healthcare team members.
Identifying changes in residents health status and reporting it to the house manager and resident nurse.
House duties, laundry, cooking and cleaning will be required as part of the job.
Ability to work with incontinent individuals.
Overnight shifts require you to be AWAKE and alert.
We are looking for individuals' that want to enhance the lives of aging adults with dignity and respect in the comfort of a home setting. You will be involved with Management and be part of a team that feels like a family. You need to be comfortable with giving medications and ADL'S on the computer, we will train
If caring for the elderly is not something that's in your heart this is not the place for you. If you are not prepared to make them your priority while you are here this IS NOT the facility for you.
You must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, pass a criminal background check and random drug screen. Medication certified preferred but not necessary, will certify on the job and train.
