Summary: The Security Officer Level I position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors of their assigned post.
Job Responsibilities:
· Perform security patrols on premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates
· Investigate and write reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations
· Completion of Daily Activity Reports of each shift
· Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
· Prompt and timely deggy system checks
· Provide any needed assistance to customer, employees and visitors according to the site procedures
· Performs other related duties as assigned by Captain and Sergeants
Requirements:
· Must be U.S. Citizen, at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, email systems and administrative tools.
· Must be able to work all shifts including evening and weekend shifts if needed.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required plus any Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Hold and maintain Security Guard status
· Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
· Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
· Demonstrated strong English verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures
· Ability to write and investigate required reports
· Ability to make independent and good judgment decisions utilizing ADC LTD NM and customer policy and procedures
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Working Conditions:
· Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to twelve (12) hours per day. Occasional running, sprinting, lifting heavy weights, moving heavy objects, climbing stairs
· Work is performed indoors and outdoors and require an individual to withstand extreme inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, or severe weather
· Unpredictable crisis situations require the ability to speak clearly and distinctly and remain calm in stressful situations
· Ability to remain on post up to four (4) consecutive hours without sitting, eating, or relieving bladder or bowels.
· Ability to remain alert with ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations.
· Ability to subdue violent or potentially violent or disturbed individuals, or intervene in a crisis
· Evening and Weekend Hours required
